Notes on the weather and on the state of the ground, noting that our Showground is located at Riverside Drive, off Southgate which is off Church Road Urmston, Manchester. (Junction 7, 9, or 10 on the M60 - see map). The Postcode for the field is M41 9EP
The showground at Riverside Drive has excellent draining properties, and as such, recovers very quickly. In the past, Urmston has been able to put on a show when others have had to cancel. In the event of bad weather, we try not to cancel too early. However if in doubt, please note that a DEFINITE decision is made by 7.00 on the morning of the show. Over the years we have usually made the correct decision. A telephone call to 07773 937 960 will confirm if the Show is on or postponed. If postponed, we generally go for the following week.
